   Ease of Assembly

    Lengths of B-Vent model BVS (3" - 8") and BVM (10" - 14") are joined by inserting mating ends together and twisting clockwise to lock. To disassemble simply twist the upper section counter clockwise and lift.
    Model BVL (16" - 30") is designed and built so that the parts virtually fall together. Because of the large diameters involved, sheet metal screws are required for securing the joints. Prepunched holes are provided in the female outer casing for this purpose.

   The Venting Action of B-Vent

    The venting action derives from the aluminum vent liner which heats quickly and evenly and from the 1/2" annular air space, maintained uniformly by the connector rings, which act as insulators, thereby preventing undue heat loss and eliminating corrosive condensation within the vent. Expansion and contraction from heating and cooling of the aluminum causes no ticking or banging because the liner is not fastened to the rest of the vent, but held in place by the connector rings.

   Insulated B-Vent (4" to 14" diameter)

    Insulated B-Vent has a 1/2" blanket of fibreglass insulation between the aluminum liner and the galvalume case. This insulation substantially maintains the flue gas temperature over standard air insulated B-Vents. This type of B-Vent is used where runs must be made through cold areas, such as up the outside wall of a structure, or for longer than average heights above a roof where cold conditions could lead to condensation problems.

   Use of B-Vent

    B-Vent is used for venting approved gas appliances in accordance with the Installation Code for Gas Burning Appliances and Equipment, CSA B149.1 and CSA B149.2 in Canada, and the Standards for Gas Piping and Gas Appliances in Buildings, and NFPA No. 211 in the U.S.A., and as permitted by the authority having jurisdiction. These vents must not be used for venting incinerators, appliances required to be connected to chimneys or appliances operating under forced draft.

   Testing and Approval

    Model BVS (3" - 8"), BVM (10" - 14") and BVL (16" - 30") have all been tested by ULC and UL in their laboratory and found to comply with all criteria of their labelling service which is backed by periodic ULC and UL factory inspections. Results of the tests are available upon request.

   Pellet Pipe and Fittings

   ULC and UL listed for use with Pellet Stoves

  • Available in 3" and 4" diameters.
    Outer casing is made of galvalume to resist the elements – inner sleeve is made of 316L stainless steel for better corrosion resistance.
  • Unique heavy-duty connector ring design and twist with lock connection eliminates the need to use excessive pressure to create a tight seal during assembly. Positive seal controls fly ash leakage.
    • Pressure tested to ULC and UL standards.
